Need funding for your environmental project around Te Awarua Porirua Harbour and surrounding catchment areas?
Greater Wellington Regional Council is looking for passionate community groups to apply for the Community Environmental Fund (2019/20).
Groups can apply for up to three years of funding for environmental restoration projects happening in the area from Churton Park to north of Pukerua Bay, and from the coast to inland of Pauatahanui. Projects could be to restore native plants, improve the local ecology, or control pest plants and animals.
This is one of the ways we are supporting the great work of passionate community volunteers who protect, restore and cherish the environment around Te Awarua Porirua Harbour and surrounding catchment areas.
Applications are open from 8am Monday 19 August to 5pm Monday 30 September, and successful applicants will be announced before Friday 1 November.
