The Trust currently has thirteen trustees, made up of three Nominated trustees, eight appointed trustees and two advisory trustees.

The Trust receives significant support from officers in Porirua City, Greater Wellington and Wellington City Councils. The Trust currently has a vacancy for the secretary role.
With the release of the Porirua Harbour and Catchment Strategy and the Detailed Action Plan the Trust is now concentrating on forming its own action plan of programmes and activities for the next three years. This will include key actions from the Porirua Harbour Action Plan being led by the regional and city councils and Te Runanga O Toa Rangatira.
The Trust is also establishing the process for ongoing engagement with the wider community and volunteer groups interested in participating in the programmes to improve the state of the harbour.
